Detected domains
Keep cited or otherwise detected domains with the answer snapshot and check timestamp. Your own domain is distinguished from outside sources.
ChatGPT source tracking
Track detected domains beside the exact buying prompt, answer and brand outcome. Prompt Monitoring records new and lost sources across recurring ChatGPT checks so a citation change becomes an investigation lead, not a context-free list.

Compare consecutive measurements for the same prompt and surface domains that entered or left the answer.
Read source changes beside your mention status and competitors to see whether a visibility change deserves deeper investigation.
Monitor sources for up to ten revenue-relevant prompts rather than collecting a large, noisy citation inventory with no buying context.

| Signal | What it means | Useful next action |
|---|---|---|
| Your domain appears | The current answer contains or cites your domain. | Record the associated wording and target page; keep the relevant facts current and easy to verify. |
| New outside source | A domain not detected in the previous check now contributes to the answer. | Review its format, evidence and entities to understand the information pattern — do not merely copy it. |
| Source lost | A previously detected domain no longer appears in the latest answer. | Check whether the answer topic, named vendors or freshness changed before attributing a cause. |
| No specific sources | The provider returned an answer without detectable external domains. | Keep the observation, but do not invent citations. Repeated checks may produce a sourced answer later. |
It records the domains detected in a checked answer, tied to the prompt, timestamp, answer excerpt, your mention status and named competitors.
Not necessarily. Depending on the provider response, a domain may come from a citation annotation or from a domain visibly present in the answer. The product calls these detected sources and avoids claiming causation.
It is a comparison between consecutive stored checks for the same prompt that identifies a domain newly present or no longer present.
Not in the public launch product. The integration is kept behind a server-side feature flag until the provider path is live-validated; the site does not advertise it as active.
